albury wodonga animal rescue adoption

Rufus

This best good boy is now adopted ๐Ÿงก He came to us from a local pound so we know nothing about him. But we do know that he has the most beautiful smile showing all his front teeth when he is happy or excited!

Since being in foster care, we now know that he is a very good boy in every way. He is good with people, good with kids, is house trained and uses the doggy door. Is excellent with other dogs of all sizes, we don’t know about cats.

Rufus loves a walk but will benefit from a bit more guidance so he doesn’t wander all over the place. He is also very good travelling in a vehicle.

Rufus likes to sit on the couch close to you and generally be near his people but also likes to hang around outside on a nice day. He will have a play with a ball but isn’t obsessed with it. Rufus has been sleeping on the end of our bed like the good boy he is; did I say he’s a good boy?

Don’t ever think this quiet young man is not clever, he has hidden depths and will let you think you are in charge when actually he his wrapping you around his little paw. Rufus will only bark if he thinks he really needs to.

This best boy is an absolute gem. His ideal home would be a family with or without another dog who will let him share their life and home and continue with some basic training.

Best outcomes: For the best possible outcome for each adoption we do prefer that you come to us and meet the dog or puppy in person.
Please note: Even though you may be first to call, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a “first in, first served basis”. We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
