Nellie is a beautiful five-year-old blue heeler with a loving nature and a heart full of loyalty. She is a desexed female who has truly blossomed during her time in foster care and is now ready to find her forever home.
Nellie is incredibly friendly and affectionate, forming strong bonds with her people and loving nothing more than being part of the family. She’s a clever girl who has picked up new skills in no time. In just five weeks, she has built on her basic training and now confidently knows sit, lay down, and wait. She has also learned household boundaries, including where she is (and isn’t!) allowed on the furniture — even sticking to her designated spot on the sofa.
She is fully house trained and has not had a single accident in foster care. Nellie has settled beautifully into a routine of kibble for breakfast, raw food for dinner, and a daily walk.
Nellie enjoys the best of both worlds as an indoor/outdoor dog. She is content to spend time in the yard during the day with access to water and shelter, happily keeping watch over her home, and then loves to come inside to relax with her humans in the evenings.
As a typical cattle dog, Nellie is intelligent and energetic. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs when off-lead and enjoys their company. On-lead, she can become a little anxious and vocal when passing other dogs, but this comes from excitement and uncertainty rather than aggression. With continued guidance and consistent training, she has great potential to improve in this area.
Nellie would thrive in a home that can provide structure, patience, and ongoing training — ideally with someone who understands working breeds or is willing to learn. In return, she will offer unwavering loyalty, companionship, and so much love.
This sweet girl has come so far and is ready to continue her journey with a family who will help her shine.

Best outcomes: For the best possible outcome for each adoption we do prefer that you come to us and meet the dog or puppy in person.
Please note: Even though you may be first to apply, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a “first in, first served basis”. We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
*The adoption fee includes microchipping on the NSW Companion Animal Register, desexing, C5 vaccination, intestinal worm and flea treatment. Council registration for rescue dogs in NSW is $27.50 and $23 for pensioners. (This is included in the adoption fee).
