Louise, who we affectionately call Lou Lou, is a Kelpie Jack Russel mix. She is the sweetest and most affectionate lady. She loves pats and will paw at your hand if you stop and would sit by your side all day long if she could.
As much as Lou Lou loves following you around and being by your side, she is fine when left on her own. She will entertain herself by exploring the backyard/house and likes to spend a lot of time lazing around.
Lou Lou is house trained with not a single accident in the house and none overnight when sleeping inside.
Lou Lou gets along well with her foster family’s own dog but has some kelpie herding instincts when playing which she can get a bit fixated on. We think she would be best suited to a home with a dog her size or larger, or a tolerable smaller dog. Lou Lou would also do well as an only dog.
Lou Lou gets very excited around people and can be quite jumpy but does know how to sit and will listen when told so. She would be very easy to train as she is eager to please.
Lou Lou is a good jumper and needs a backyard with high fencing. Which means she would also be suitable for agility work.
If you’re looking for an active, cuddly, affectionate, loving best friend, Lou Lou is a perfect match.

Best outcomes: For the best possible outcome for each adoption we do prefer that you come to us and meet the dog or puppy in person.
Please note: Even though you may be first to apply, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a “first in, first served basis”. We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
*The adoption fee includes microchipping on the NSW Companion Animal Register, desexing, C5 vaccination, intestinal worm and flea treatment. Council registration for rescue dogs in NSW is $27.50 and $23 for pensioners. (This is included in the adoption fee).
