It’s all in the name – Teddy is a big, cuddly bear. His heart matches his size, he’s got so much love to give! Teddy is a two year old staghound and loves to be inside with his family. He’s a bit of a bed hog and needs ongoing training but he’s good with other dogs, cats and kids.
Teddy loves his daily walks and needs a big yard to run around in with high fences so he can’t escape. He is not suitable for a rural home and is used to living in suburbia.
Ted would prefer a family where there is someone at home a lot or another dog to keep him company, as he tends to bark if left outside for too long.
Teddy (Ted) likes to shake hands, enjoys lots of hugs and attention and will gladly share your food. Ted loves to take over the couch and to be wherever his people are. He does have lots of energy especially if not walked so don’t be fooled by his size.
Teddy’s owner is heartbroken to have to surrender him; however it’s what is best for Teddy as she is unable to care for him now.

Best outcomes: For the best possible outcome for each adoption we do prefer that you come to us and meet the dog or puppy in person.
Please note: Even though you may be first to call, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a “first in, first served basis”. We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
