Penny is an 18 month old Staghound x Saluki. She is big, but full of love. Penny’s favourite things to do are sleeping on the couch next to her humans and going for walks.
Penny takes a week or so to bond with new people, but once she trusts you, she won’t leave your side while you are home. She is a very loveable and loyal dog. Penny is good around kids and will fit in well with a loving family who can spend lots of their time with her.
Penny will need a big yard to stretch her long legs with a secure fence. She will need a walk daily, but doesn’t need to walk very far. She is house trained and can sit and shake. She doesn’t bark often, only when someone is coming into her space who she doesn’t know, but once she gets to know them, she has no worries.
Penny should stay on the lead while on walks as she is a hunting breed and loves to chase down other small animals. She also is not the biggest fan of other dogs, so a house where she can have all the love and attention would suit best.
Our girl Penny will make a wonderfully loyal companion for a family or person who understands the care of large dogs.

Best outcomes: For the best possible outcome for each adoption we do prefer that you come to us and meet the dog or puppy in person.
Please note: Even though you may be first to call, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a “first in, first served basis”. We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
