Meet handsome big dog Junior. Junior came into rescue severely neglected. Despite this, he still has a beautiful loving and gentle nature.
Junior has so much love to give and he needs a very special home where that love will be returned. He is a gentle natured boy and is great with his foster carers cat. We believe that he should go to a home without a younger dog though as he’s a stately senior who has earned his relaxing time.
Junior is friendly with other dogs on his walks, which he loves. He walks well on the lead, but a new owner with big dog experience is recommended due to his size. Junior lives inside with his carers when they are home.
Because of Juniors condition on his arrival to AWAR he is a special needs dog. His ears will need a weekly clean by his family, who will also need to watch them closely for possible infection.
Junior is a well behaved boy, who allows this to be done relatively easily, despite his size. Junior is an amazing, beautiful dog who has had a hard start to life. If you love large dogs, this guy could definitely be for you.

Best outcomes: For the best possible outcome for each adoption we do prefer that you come to us and meet the dog or puppy in person.
Please note: Even though you may be first to call, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a “first in, first served basis”. We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
