kelpie adoption

Hudson

Hudson is on trial in his new home. 💗 Hudson is a kelpie and around ten months old. Hudson was living on a farm and was surrendered to a pound after his owner suffered an injury. Hudson wants to be the centre of your world and is so loyal to his people.

He is very food driven and needs to learn that he never has to go hungry again, so would benefit from training to help make him the best dog and family member he can be.

Hudson is dog and kid friendly, with not a mean bone in his body. He absolutely loves running around with his foster siblings and is slowly learning how to play with toys. He has shown no signs of chewing anything.

ADOPTION CRITERIA

A home with a medium to large backyard with grass, shelter, and secure fencing.

A home with or without children, they must be dog savvy children who can handle an “in your face” dog, until appropriate training can be done.

A home with or without another dog. If another dog is in residence already, we seek a dog who is well socialised and tolerant.

A daily walk, especially if he’s an only dog.

A lot of love and dedicate time to training and some activity to stimulate his brain.

Hudson should be welcomed as part of the family and not just left on his own in the backyard all the time. He needs to have owners who are home more often than not, or as mentioned above another dog to keep company.

Best outcomes: For the best possible outcome for each adoption we do prefer that you come to us and meet the dog or puppy in person.
Please note: Even though you may be first to call, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a “first in, first served basis”. We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
