albury dog rescue adoption

Holly

Holly is on trial in her new home 💖 Holly is a fully grown cattle dog mix puppy. While her date of birth is unknown, she is estimated to be between 6-12 months old. Holly doesn’t know her name as it was just given to her recently, but she has no problem coming when you call her, as really, she just wants to be with you all the time. She has had a tough start to life.

She is quite timid at the moment with anything new, but has started to learn about toys and likes squeaky toys. She is a very affectionate girl, whose favourite thing is to lie on the couch next to you and cuddle up. We’re not sure what happened, but Holly has a stumpy tail, however this doesn’t stop it from wagging vigorously! She is a very pretty girl and when she looks at you, pure love can be seen in her eyes. She is good on a lead at the moment, mainly as she wants to stay close to you, but being on a lead is all very knew and still a little scary for her, when people come near or there are a lot of cars and noise.

This will improve with more walks and more exposure and socialising. She adores children, although jumps up a little when excited to see you, however with some training this will improve. She likes the company of other dogs, and would be quite sad if left alone, so another doggie friend is essential.

She seems to be house trained, but currently has a doggie door to use if she needs to go outside. She has a very low level of activity at the moment, but this may increase when she feels secure and bonds to her forever people and home.

A commitment to regular exercise and training is essential so that she can be the best girl possible. Also required is a lot of time, patience and love to make this girl feel safe and secure.

Best outcomes: For the best possible outcome for each adoption we do prefer that you come to us and meet the dog or puppy in person.
Please note: Even though you may be first to call, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a “first in, first served basis”. We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
