male staffy x border collie/kelpie rescue dog

Grimmy

Grimmy is a very pleasant Staffy cross, mixed with maybe collie or kelpie, who is 1.5 years old. She is a medium sized dog who has a moderate energy level. We also call her Prim or Grim.

Grimmy is so affectionate, she loves to give you a sloppy lick on the face to show her affection and she absolutely loves a belly scratch and will present her belly often for a scratch. She is a gentle dog and loves to know where you are and what you are doing.

She does lack some basic training but have been able to easily teach her sit and down to stop her slight over exuberance at times. She will is not great at recall and will need ongoing training. She loves a walk and walks well on a lead, a little too excited to start off with and can pull, but she settles down with time. She has been known to be an escape artist so will need a secure yard with high fences.

She is happy to sleep inside or out. She initially didn’t know how to use a doggie door, but she has quickly learnt this new trick and she takes herself outside to relieve. She would love to sleep on the bed with her people, but she currently sleeps in a crate and has no issues with this. She is a little picky with food at times, but this is settling with time and her comfort level.

Grimmy is a lovely dog and a pleasure to foster.

Best outcomes: For the best possible outcome for each adoption we do prefer that you come to us and meet the dog or puppy in person.
Please note: Even though you may be first to apply, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a “first in, first served basis”. We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.

*The adoption fee includes microchipping on the NSW Companion Animal Register, desexing, C5 vaccination, intestinal worm and flea treatment. Council registration for rescue dogs in NSW is $27.50 and $23 for pensioners. (This is included in the adoption fee).
