border collie x koolie rescue dog

Buddy

Buddy is a beautiful three year old Border Collie X Koolie. He appears to be very loyal and respectful. Buddy has been sleeping inside, he is slow to get going in the morning, lots of stretches and a quick walk around the garden and he is happy to come back inside and watch the goings on in the household.

He is house trained and not destructive at all. Chasing the ball and mostly returning it seems to be his favourite game, he loves a walk and walks well on the lead but can growl at other dogs the meets along the way.

We have taken him to the dog park and he seems to have anxiety around other dogs with low growling, and can bark at other dogs, we did have another dog join us in our backyard for a day and they became good friends playing well together with no issues.

He is great with the kids, my youngest is 10 and there were no issues at all, he does not jump up and absolutely no signs of aggression. He loves the attention and his belly being rubbed.

Activity wise he is quiet in the mornings, happy to laze around but in the afternoon he is ready for action and needs those walks and ball play and be taught new tricks, but is well happy for night time relaxing also.

Buddy will make a great companion for a family who can give him the attention and time he needs.

Best outcomes: For the best possible outcome for each adoption we do prefer that you come to us and meet the dog or puppy in person.
Please note: Even though you may be first to apply, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a “first in, first served basis”. We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.

*The adoption fee includes microchipping on the NSW Companion Animal Register, desexing, C5 vaccination, intestinal worm and flea treatment. Council registration for rescue dogs in NSW is $27.50 and $23 for pensioners. (This is included in the adoption fee).
