albury dog rescue cattle dog x bulldog puppy

Brooksy

Brooksy is a cattle dog x Australian bulldog puppy. While his date of birth is unknown, he is estimated to be between 6-12 months old. Brooksy doesn’t know his name as it was just given to him recently, but has no problem coming when you call him, as really, he just wants to be with you all the time.

He has had a tough start to life. He is quite timid at the moment with anything new, but has started to learn about toys and likes squeaky toys and having something to chew on. He is a very affectionate boy, whose favourite thing is to lie on the couch next to you, cuddle up and lay his head on your leg. He also loves to lavish you in kisses.

He looks up at you with his furrowed brow and sad eyes and your heart melts. He is good on a lead at the moment, mainly as he wants to stay close to you, but being on a lead is all very knew and still a little scary for him, especially when people come near or there are a lot of cars and noise. This will improve with more walks, exposure and socialising.

He is great with children, although jumps up a little when excited to see you, however with some training this will improve. He likes the company of other dogs, and would be quite sad if left alone, so another doggie friend is essential.

He seems to be house trained, but currently has a doggie door to use if he needs to go outside. He has a very low level of activity at the moment, but this may increase when he feels secure and bonds with his forever family and home.

A commitment to regular exercise and training is essential so that he can be the best boy possible. Also required is a tonne of time, patience and love to make this boy feel safe and secure.
