kelpie x mastiff x staghound adoption

Booga

Booga is a 15 month old male. He has grown up with his sister and another Kelpie on a farm with a family of five people- two adults and three children. When he meets you, he can get quite excited and craves your affection.

He loves a good pat and a belly rub. Booga loves the outdoors, taking swims in the dam and going for walks. One of his favourite things to do is to run along side the motorbikes exploring the farm.

Booga is great with cats and birds in an aviary. He becomes quite protective of the cats as the kelpie will chase them, but Booga will lick them and they often come to him as their protector.

Booga has taken an unhealthy interest in chasing sheep and toying with cattle. He has never killed one however it is recommended that he not be around livestock. Booga is a beautiful dog and knows some basic commands like sit and walks okay on a lead. Further training will be recommended and due to him being a young age, this certainly will be an advantage. He has so much potential.

Booga will be well suited to a home that has other dogs as he is very social and a family that loves the outdoors.

To submit an expression of interest for Booga please email Lorraine on lorraine@awar.org.au

Best outcomes: For the best possible outcome for each adoption we do prefer that you come to us and meet the dog or puppy in person.
Please note: Even though you may be first to call, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a “first in, first served basis”. We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
